Fundamentals

All students have now received 12 pages from Fundamentals of Crystallography (Oxford University Press, Ed. C. Giacovazzo, third edition) and a series of questions and exercises. Do your homework and get ready for the ECS1! If you are experiencing problems in answering the questions, feel free to contact one of the ECS1 tutors at carmelo.giacovazzo@ic.cnr.it Carmelo Giacovazzo.

The programme of ECS1 has been updated. We advice all participants to arrange their travel plan in order to be in Pavia on Thursday 28 August (the school will open at 3 pm) and leave on Saturday 6 September (the programme and final exams will be over by noon). All those who need to arrive to Pavia one day earlier or leave one day after the suggested dates are invited to inform the ECS1 secretary. Attendants who will take part in the 6-days core school only are requested to be in Pavia on Sunday 31 August: the opening ceremony is scheduled at 5 pm, followed by two welcome lectures and a welcome party.
